IF HE IS WORDED, HE SHOULDN’T BE WORLDLY

Sometimes ago, I met a good looking “brother in the Lord” who claimed to be interested in me. He was not just a respected member of a Christian body but a leader. In few minutes of conversation, this bro would have quoted several scriptures. I was still coping with him as a friend until he began to tell me there was nothing wrong in Christians defiling the marriage bed. He was consistently arguing that the only way to know if you are sexually compatible with your partner is by defiling the marriage bed.

I am not condemning him but I didn’t need a soothsayer to tell me not to be moved by his physical portray of spirituality but hear God. Eventually, the relationship never saw the light of the day. Thank God we are both doing fine separately today.

I hear ladies say, “the guy is worded”. Sisters, never be moved by his ability to quote scriptures at the sight of everything. Let the Holyspirit reveal his heart to you. Even the devil quoted scriptures in Matthew 4.

Some ladies are easily swept off balance by some biblical quotations and explanations especially by some good looking “spirikoko” brothers. If you have been far away from your Bible, sister, please get back to it now. Enough of the deceptions from the pit of hell to cause confusions in the heart of our sisters! We refuse to focus on the minor at the expense of the major.

You can only be deceived when you also have no knowledge of the Word of God or you do not have the Spirit of God to discern what is right and what is wrong. Be groomed in the Word. Study to show thyself approved! Stop swallowing every doctrine without searching the Bible.

We can only be deceived by doctrines that are not of God when we don’t know what God says about it. Search the Word of God. Subject yourself to the leading of the Holyspirit for revelations, confirmations, interpretations and convictions.

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1 -NIV)
