I overheard a conversation between two people who were arguing in a church. You can call me “amebo” but I will still share the gist with you.

Initially, I didn’t pay attention to the conversation until I heard one say, “If not that we are in the church, I would have scattered your face.” (I think it is better said in Yoruba, “ti ko ba sepe church ni awa, mi o ba ti se oju e yanmayanma”.)

That sounds hilarious right? Wait till you hear the response.

The second person immediately replied, “And you think you would have walked home with those legs if we were not inside the church?)

I literally opened my mouth where I was sitting. I couldn’t believe my ears.

If your Christianity starts and ends in the church auditorium, you are not a Christian.

If the only reason why you will not yield to the desires of the flesh is because you are in the church or in the midst of your church members, you are not a Christian.

Our walk with God should be a constant and daily pursuit that has no conditions. If your condition is being in church, what happens when Jesus comes and you are not in church? Will you make heaven?

Let your lifestyle showcase Jesus everywhere you go. Pray that the Holyspirit helps you to subdue the flesh.

(But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. – I Corinthians 9 vs 7)

There will always be things that will provoke you, annoy you or tempt you to fall. But remember that you are a carrier of God everywhere you go. You are His representative. The life you live is no longer your own but His.

Will you fail God because of a man?
