I went to work one day in October 2017 when my sister called me that she would be attending a party and I should please drop some things at the venue for her before going home. I agreed unknown to me she actually wanted me to see one of her friends. It was her friend’s brother who I had been longing to see because she had said a lot about them. She had described how they were nice, caring and all to her. In my mind, I had asked myself if this girl (my sister) was not cooking up something.

At that moment of my life, I was heartbroken by my ex (of blessed memory) though I loved him so much but eventually he called it quit. So I had to let go, I ran back to God, I prayed and read different books on marriage and single life. This logic really helped me to let go easily it was a tough moment for me. Can you now see why my sister actually wanted me to be at the party?

Back to my story, on getting to the party, she introduced me to her friend and her friend’s brother (my husband). After a while, boom! Oga walked up to me and started speaking the love language in different styles. I looked at him and I was like “kilo se eleyi baayi? (meaning “what is wrong with this one?”) I have not been completely healed of the heartbreak and you are coming to ask me out”.

After all the shakara, we exchanged contacts then we began to talk but I must say I didn’t like him at first…..smiles

The Ashirus

We both sought God’s face and I personally was convinced that he was the right man for me. We had our introduction in October 2018 and got married JULY 2019. Six months and some weeks in marriage with my heartbeat have been fantastic.

I urge you sisters and brothers seeking God’s face not to give up on love.

Habakkuk 3:3

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
